Warm Cedar and Gentle Curves
This started out as a kitchen enlargement with a breakfast nook and a generous covered porch under the low hanging bough of a cherry tree. As the design evolved the porch was mostly enclosed to become the "garden room". The deck that remains is just large enough for a couple of chairs. It's laid out in a daisy wheel pattern and is sheltered under radiating rafters framing a roof opening that lets sun into the transom of the French doors but keeps the rain out. |
